He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
- Isaiah 40:29-31

Top 10 items a mother of boys can't live without

1. Spray and Wash

2. a good vacuum

3. Clorox wipes (for the potty training and the years after because they just never learn to aim)

4. Band Aids

5. Windex (for those fingerprints EVERYWHERE)

6. Scrubbing Bubbles (for the bathtub after the outside time)

7. paper towels or baby wipes - for all of those dirty hands, faces, noses...

8. ear plugs

9. lollipops - for those times when you need to bribe them to be good, quiet, still...

10. And a camera to capture all the moments when the above items are needed

And yes, I realize most of these are cleaning products. Either you completely understand or you don't have a boy!

Now feel free to add those items that I have missed because believe me I could go on and on and as those of us with boys know, this list changes daily.

How about:
1) Bubble Bath Oil for Mommy
2) Ok Jeff (Mr. Bubbles for Daddy too)
3) A good book
4) A bottle of wine (again for Mommy!)

Of course, if it's like normal, which you're already aware that you aren't, as soon as they fall asleep and you sink into that tub, someone will either ring that phone and wake at least 1 of them up causing them to yell for you, or....things get too quiet and they still wake up to yell, Mommy where are you at? But, like Trace Adkins sings, "You're gonna miss this". (All but the hospital and doctors' visits.) And, soccer is almost over!!!! Worry with that another year honey, it's o.k. At least you allowed him the opportunity to join the team, and it's ok. It's just a thing kids go through.

I'd add something to eat. I don't know how you and Jeff do it with 3 boys...one is eating me out of a house!

I love the list and yes - I understand it being a mom of a boy.

Just for clarity, are the ear plugs for you or them?

What beautiful weather we are having for Fall! I realized today just exactly how beautiful it is to be so close to 75 degrees and have pumpkins, mums and the leaves changing colors right in front of us. I smile to think how blessed most of us are to be able to appreciate this. Then, my heart tugs at me to realize that all in life is so beautiful on the OUTSIDE. Inside you and your family is just emotions and worries every single day about what tomorrow will bring with the health issues. Yet, I know you guys, and you enjoy every moment in the leaves outside in warm weather that you can possibly get! I just thought it was so important for you to know that I think of you so much at so many moments. I hope the boys enjoyed the warm weekend too! I'll bet Noah is counting down the days for his birthday! We got some shopping done this weekend, went out to lunch, and I took $10 and gave to Tylar in quarters just to play video games at the store because he tried so hard at school this week and got wonderful grades back in return! Hugs and Kisses!
